if you’re stuck in traffic over the next month and are wondering why, have a gander —  

then look at these pics:













That’s the Pattullo bridge and it caught on fire, if for whatever reason you haven’t already heard.

To give you an idea of how bad the traffic is getting, 152nd Street leading up to the Port Mann bridge is backed up to 90th Ave (KFC / Save-On Foods) and Nordel way leading up to the Alex Fraser bridge is backed up to the King George Hwy!

It’s currently listed as “month-to-month” but it’s return to the lineup is very much anticipated!

^^ that’s not quite what happened to her, but she’s not doing too well.

in hockey terms, she’s listed as day-to-day. today she wouldn’t start and i’m sure it wasn’t her battery – good news is: she’s still covered by warranty :) 

anyways, while i was at work today it got me thinking..life kinda sucks if you don’t have a car. or at least if you had a car and all of a sudden you can’t use it any more.

just think for a second what life would be like without having your most depended-on mode of transportation available to you any more, even for a little while. there’s just so much that instantly isn’t as available to you as it normally would be.

guess i won’t be seeing anyone on the roads any time soon.. and if you take public transportation, see you on the bus!
