A father passing by his son\u2019s bedroom was astonished to see that his
\nbed was nicely made and everything was picked up.
\nThen he saw an envelope, propped up prominently on the pillow that
\nwas addressed to \u2018Dad.\u2019<\/p>\n
With the worst premonition he opened the envelope with trembling
\nhands and read the letter.<\/p>\n
Dear Dad:<\/p>\n
I\u2019m sorry to be writing to you like this. I didn\u2019t think I had much choice. I had to
\nelope with my new girlfriend because I wanted to avoid a scene with Mom
\nand you. I have been finding real passion with Stacy and she is so nice.
\nBut I knew you would not approve of her because of all her piercings,
\ntattoos, tight motorcycle clothes and the fact that she is much older
\nthan I am.<\/p>\n
But it\u2019s not only the passion\u2026 Dad, she\u2019s pregnant.
\nStacy says that we will be very happy. She lives in a trailer in the
\nwoods and has a stack of firewood for the whole winter. We share a dream
\nof having many more children.<\/p>\n
Stacy has opened my eyes to the fact that marijuana doesn\u2019t really
\nhurt anyone. We\u2019ll be growing it for ourselves and trading it with the
\nother people that live nearby for cocaine and ecstasy.<\/p>\n
In the meantime we will pray that science will find a cure for AIDS so
\nStacy can get better. She deserves it.
\nDon\u2019t worry Dad. I\u2019m 15 and I know how to take care of myself.<\/p>\n
Someday I\u2019m sure that we will be back to visit so that you can get to
\nknow your grandchildren.<\/p>\n
