“Biggest Fan!” :)

4 Years
Just in case you were interested about yesterday…
It was our four year anniversary and I was looking forward to this day for many different reasons: a year anni, Rod’s surprise for me, my surprise for Rod (which almost everyone knew about), and it was the beginning of a weekend. At work we have casual Fridays, but yesterday I didn’t care and instead showed up all fancy and stuff. My coworkers noticed and asked me what the occasion was. I told them why expecting a “Oh that’s nice”, but I got “Wow! That’s long” and “Congratulations!” and even an “What a lucky guy!”. When I heard that, I was thinking I’m the lucky one. I couldn’t help but smile throughout the day knowing that there was a surprise in store for me. Rod even brought me lunch when he found out that I had forgotten because I was too busy in the morning getting ready.
When I got off work, Rod picked me up and brought me roses and chocolate. So sweet. Then we headed to downtown for dinner, which was still a surprise. It turned out to be Zin’s Restaurant at Pacific Palisades Hotel on Robson St. It was very trendy and upscale. We got the Dine Out Vancouver menu but the portions were a little too small for Rod. (If you go there for Dine Out, get the Lambshank. It’s deeelicious!) Everyone there was soo great! They noticed that it was our anniversary and brought us champagne on the house!
After desert, we exchanged presents. I opened mine first and got a beautiful pair of earrings. Thank you Rod! I was more excited for Rod to open his gift. When he opened his gift, his reaction was perfect – like a little boy on Christmas morning opening the present that he wanted all year. (Thanks to all for keeping it under wraps!) We ended up going back to Rod’s to watch The Little Mermaid and to figure out his iPhone.
All in all, it was a perfect evening. I wouldn’t have changed a thing.
Pictures to be posted later.
